RN Staff Development Coordinator / Nurse Educator 


Purpose of Position

  • Train and educate the facility’s personnel
  •  Provide mandatory in-services which are in compliance with State and Federal guidelines
  • Responsible for the development of standardized lessons plans for employee orientation and in-services
  • Maintain adequate records of in service programs attended by all staff
  • Function as the Employee Health nurse at the facility and in this  function be responsible for making sure the policies and procedures on employment and annual physical exams be implemented
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, coordinate and direct the Infection Control program in accordance with various agency guidelines that govern requirements in the long-term care facility

Educational Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Currently licensed in the state of  New Jersey
  • Current IV certification preferred
  • Must have an RN license


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing theory and practice
  • At least one year teaching or training experience in a health care facility
